I sometimes think that I’m getting older every hour. And, most terrible, – so it is.
Some information before my review.
Hear the Wind Sing (風の歌を聴け, Kaze no uta o kike?) is the first novel by Japanese author, Haruki Murakami; it first appeared in the June 1979 issue of Gunzo, one of the most influential literary magazines in Japan. It is the first book in the “Trilogy of the Rat” series, which is followed by Pinball, 1973 (1980) and A Wild Sheep Chase (1982). An English translation by Alfred Birnbaum appeared in 1987. All three books in the Trilogy of the Rat have been translated into English, but Hear The Wind Sing and Pinball, 1973, the first two books in the trilogy, were never widely distributed in the English-speaking world, having only been published in Japan by Kodansha under their Kodansha English Library branding, and both only as A6-sized pocketbooks.
So.
It’s not the first book by this author I’m reading. It’s really hard to understand the way of things in the process of reading. The only thing that heals me – it’s a knowledge of one fact, that it’s a first book from a trilogy. This book told about two young men, who just live their lives. They speaking, drinking beer… And nothing more. It’s just a small part of their being.
In the process of writing the author used a torn proposals and short sketches. This was due to lack of time with Mr. Murakami. His first novel, he decided to write in 29 years. However, he was the owner of a jazz bar, and could write only in the evenings, one hour a day. However, in such a manner of presentation has its charms. Like the hero recalls (as it is) all the events in which he participates, but some facts can not remember. Periodically, he returns to the already traversed to complete the picture.
Wait and listen – the principle of life the main characters. In contrast to the hectic Rats, author “reflection of the hero” does not seek to influence events. Like the wind, the narrator whispers to us in its history, and how to hear – it is a personal decision.

Not only “sounds”. It’s really good book!
I got this feeling that the way this author presents lines and plot and idea in his books is too “slow” for me.
you know, I like boom-bshhhh books, when the whole picture of the book changes while reading and in the end u really don’r know what to think and how to describe a book u’ve just read. things happen so quickly that u lose the very meaning of the word “time”.
maybe I started with the wrong book
and actually I don’t remember what’s the name of this book. it was a long time ago when my friend gave me some book and I tried to read, cuz it was модно (?) that time.

Я сейчас книгу читаю – монографию умного профессора, который исследует творчество Мураками. И стиль этой вот книжки очень похож на Воннегута и Бротигана, потому что во время написания книги Мураками было 29 лет, у него был джаз-бар и книгу он писал исключительно по вечерам. И старался написать кусочек законченный. Поэтому и кажется что отрывочно всё так. Вообще начинать с Трилогии Крысы – это не лучший выбор. Я считаю что начинать надо с Хроник Заводной Птицы.
Почему – напишу потом, я намереваюсь посвятить этому целый пост ))
а чорт, когда я пишу много и по делу на англицком, ты все время отвечаешь на русском
да, мне пора бы привыкнуть
